The most stable shooting sticks? REKON CT3-HD 260RIPS SIGNATURE EDITION PRECISION TRIPOD SYSTEM.
Is this the perfect long distance shooting platform? I’ve now used the Rekon tripod system for numerous outings. At first it did take some getting used to. Yes it’s big and chunky. Yes it’s not mega light. But to be perfectly truthful its manageable and I’m not a big guy. The most impressive thing, and noticeable from the start is the shea quality of how it’s built. It really does feel super sturdy and solid. It took me just one outing to realise what I didn’t even know I was missing. Stability! This, without question is the most stable platform I’ve shot off. Before now and with the primos sticks, I would tend to limit my shots to around 150/60 yards. But with the Rekon my .223 has regularly been taking 190/220 yards shots. You can see in the inserted clips how smooth and stable it is. It really will assist in shooting further than before. TOP TIPS:- 1. Always have the bottom section out to a preset level, so that when you extend to top two sections the sticks are at the correct height. This way it’ll save time and always ensure you get into a comfy shooting position. 2. Make sure you lock off the top lateral movement so that the control knows are lined up on the right hand side. You’ll only need one lot of lateral movement, plus everything will be where you expect it to be then in darkness. 3. Make sure you open the clamp wide and guide in your rifle. This will avoid any damage to woodwork or fumbling around when getting ready to take an important shot. 4. Try to shoot with the a lead leg out in front. As you lean in towards the sticks for a stable shot slightly, it’ll prevent the tripod from moving forward, and give you r legs room without tripping over or kicking the tripods legs. 5. Lastly practice using and deploying them before going out. They will take some familiarising before you can become confident in there operation and ability. Pros- Super steady platform. Increase range and accuracy, and confidence to take on that longer shot. Premium product likely to last a long long time if well cared for. Cons- Price is pretty steep (but my honest opinion would be its relative) Bulky, so will take up more space than other shooting sticks. Heavier than some, so those with mobility issues may struggle to use. Where to buy? Please visit: https://www.scottcountry.co.uk/produc... Christmas is around the corner.
