This update is packed with features DJs have been craving, including a pattern player, flexible beat grids, and iZotope’s oZone maximiser built-in. But today, we're diving into the headline feature: Stem Separation. To generate stems, just right-click on the track in the browser at the bottom and hit Generate Stems. Traktor Pro 4 uses algorithms from RX 11 to separate stems into Drums, Bass, Vocals, and Other Instruments. Remove vocals to mix in another vocal track or create instrumental versions on the fly. Remove all elements but the drums when bringing in a track in a different key to maintain rhythmic energy while changing the track's flavor. You can control the level of each stem on the fly, and use pots for fades or kill switches for instant effects. This feature works seamlessly with the Traktor Kontrol S4. Generating stems takes between a third and two-thirds of the track’s playtime, depending on your computer's power. We can also use the orange knob/killswitch to send individual stems to effects like reverb, delay, and beat slicer. Stem Separation opens up a world of possibilities for DJs.
