Liebherr - tower cranes for wind power systems

Liebherr has developed a special tower crane for the installation of wind power systems in low wind areas for hub heights from 110 metres. Because these wind power systems are, as a rule, not erected in large windfarm arrangements but in wooded areas or locations which are difficult to access, the major advantages of a tower crane can be put to best possible use: These include fewer transport vehicles, which do not need any special approvals, access on roadways which do not need any special strengthening, and much less surface area needed for the assembly of the tower crane and of the wind power system itself.
