I wanted to capture the ambience of this place but without the sounds of people walking by so decided to try recording at night when hopefully it would just be the moored up boats and I with perhaps the occasional insomniac seagull to keep me company. It was a clear night with a full moon so perfect conditions to try it out. Apart from kneeling in a puddle of watery fish juices on the harbour wall and stinking of fish for the rest of the day it was a very relaxing recording to make of the small fishing harbour sounds at night. As the sun slowly rises the sea birds begin to wake up so there are more sea bird sounds in the 2nd half of this recording than the first. You can also hear the gentle crashing of waves on the outside of harbour wall in the background throughout the recording.
