Join me on this tour of Naolinco, Veracruz, where I experienced firsthand one of the town's most representative traditions: the Dance of the Moors and Christians. In this video, you'll meet the protagonists who keep this cultural expression alive—from the dancers who proudly prepare themselves to the artisans who open their homes to share their work, their cuisine, and their faith. I spoke with a Black dancer, who revealed the long preparation process and the meaning behind his character. We also heard from a local resident who explained the history and Afro-Mestizo origins of this dance, which unites devotion, art, and cultural resistance.
