#diamantakis #studioanalog #icacamera After the turmoil of the First World War, this ICA plate camera presented here documented the historical events surrounding the Carinthian referendum in 1920. At that time, the newly founded SHS state of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes, located south of Austria, claimed a part of Carinthia as its own lawful territory. In the context of a referendum, the will of the population was raised in this region. A majority voted to remain with Austria. As a result, the previous borders of the federal state of Carinthia remained largely untouched.
