Eric Mays selected as Flint City Council President

For the first time the newly voted in Flint City Council met in person at Flint City Hall. During the meeting, council member Eric Mays was voted Council President by a vote of 5 to 4 over Dr. Ladel Lewis. Mid-Michigan NOW reporter Bria Jones also reports that Allie Herkenroder, newly elected in Ward 7, has been voted in as Vice President of Flint City Council beating out 5th Ward’s returning Councilwoman Jerri Winfrey-Carter for the leadership position.
