US Amps VLX-25 Amp Dyno Wattage Output FULL Test

The US Amps VLX-25 is one of the amps that started the demise of the competition classes being divided by wattage. This 24" long amp is rated for competition purposes at 12.5 watts x 2 channels for a total of 25 watts. It is also rated down to 1/4 ohm stereo or 1/2 ohm mono where it is stated to put out in excess of 400 watts. All of these ratings are at 0.006% THD, so we would expect quite a bit more at the 1% and clipping measurements the SMD Amp Dyno displays. Stay tuned for more 50W and under high current or "cheater" amps from back in the 80's and 90's.
