Intersolar 2026: What's Actually Worth It for Irish Homes

I went to Intersolar 2026 in Munich so you don't have to. Here's what genuinely impressed me on the floor — and what was just expo hype — all through the only lens that matters: whether it's worth your money on an Irish roof. The standout for me was SAJ's new H3 low-voltage inverter paired with their 16kWh battery. Low-voltage architecture is the part I'm excited about — it's the direction I want to see home storage going, and the 16kWh pack gives you proper headroom for running off cheap night-rate electricity and your own solar. This is the kit I came away thinking about. The one that left me flat was the EcoFlow Power Ocean 2. I wanted to like it, but there wasn't much here that moved the needle — it didn't feel new or innovative enough to get excited about. Honest take: fine, but not a reason to change your plans. I also had a look at Jinko's new Neo panels with their quarter-cell technology — and that's a genuinely nice jump in efficiency. If you're tight on roof space, more yield per panel is exactly what you want, so these are worth keeping an eye on. Bigger picture? Honestly, this year felt quiet. There wasn't a lot of genuinely new, innovative kit on the floor — which is useful to know if you're holding off on a quote waiting for "the next big thing."
