Is the Volaris Annual Pass Worth the Money?

The Volaris Annual Pass has an enticing offer: pay $499 and fly as much as you want in a year. Our experience was mixed though. There are lots of restrictions to navigate, including a short booking window, sometimes limited flight availability, and being charged the "day of" luggage price instead of what regular advance purchase consumers do.
