Today we're making a saffron pancake (casserole) - a traditional recipe from Gotland. Tasha Mulyar's channel    / %d0%a2%d0%b0%d1%88%d0%b0%d0%9c%d1%83%d0%bb...   Saffron Casserole Recipe Ingredients 68 g rice (75 ml) 400 ml milk 1 packet saffron (0.5 g) 1 tbsp butter 2 tbsp honey 0.5 tsp salt 150 ml cold cream (Swedes use 40%) 2 eggs 20 g (50 ml) finely chopped sweet almonds Plus whipped cream (unsweetened) and jam, such as blackberry, for serving. Preparation: Place the rice with milk and saffron over low heat and stir regularly for 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Remove the porridge from the heat and stir in the butter, honey, almonds, and salt. Add the cream. Last, add the eggs. Mix thoroughly with a whisk or fork until the eggs are incorporated. Pour into the pan (the pancake will not rise, it will be 1.5 to 2 cm thick). Bake for about 25 minutes. Let cool. Serve at room temperature.
