Cruise Around Doubtful Sound, New Zealand | A Way Better Experience Than Going to Milford Sound [4K]

Kia Ora! Today's video is not a walking tour of New Zealand but a cruise around Doubtful Sound! Search for the most popular or scenic places in New Zealand, and Milford Sound would always appear in the top ten, if not the top three. I'm not saying that's not true, just that Doubtful Sound is, at the very least, as good as Milford Sound but without the hype. The scenery in Doubtful Sound is very similar to that in Milford Sound, but there are a couple of things that make Doubtful Sound better. First off, getting to the Doubtful Sound cruise is a more unique experience. As you'll see in this video, the trip starts with a one-hour cruise across Lake Manapouri (which is a two-hour drive from Queenstown). This is followed by a 30-minute coach trip over the Wilmot Pass. These give you an idea of how remote Doubtful Sound is. Second, there's only one company that operates the whole tour. This means that the number of people in Doubtful Sound on any given day is way (WAAAY!) less than that in Milford Sound. This is a significant thing, and I hope it stays that way.
