Further west, the vast dunes and forests of the Landes region harbor remarkable biodiversity. Gilles Granereau, from the National Forestry Office, observes coastal plants there, while biologist Mathieu Berroneau studies one of the region’s most impressive reptiles: the ocellated lizard.
