How to use a Duplex Scope as a BDC (Bullet Drop Compensator)

This is a video on how to use a duplex reticle second focal plane scope like a BDC. Rifle-16" AR-15, M4 profile, 556 Chamber, 1-8 twist, Carbine length, Outdoor Sport USA kit, Mil-spec trigger, PSA stripped lower. Scope- 3-9x40 Simmons 8-Point Truplex, Second Focal Plane, Duplex type reticle Ballistic App- Strelok Pro You will need to have access to a ballistic app to get a drop table. You can find free apps on your phone, or online, most major ammo sellers have one with there ammo. The goal is to find the MOA drops on the ballistic app. I use Strelok Pro ballistic app, so I show a little more detail in using that app and adjusting the reticle in the app to match the scope being used. The scope being used was not on the app, so we had to make some adjustments to the settings, by using another scope reticle that was on the app. The first step is finding out the distance between the cross hairs and duplex post at 100 yards, by shooting and measuring. Basically getting a MOA angle at 100 yards. Once you have those angles, you can look at your ballistic table and get the drop data on the MOA measurements taken at a 100 yards. The rifle and scope set up is for a new shooter. She is at the end of the video shooting. This was her rifle build. She wanted something light, basic, nothing to advance, something to start from, also not expensive, can shoot all types of ammo, so we came up with this. I basically just did the coaching on the build and shooting. I did do the testing on the rifle to make sure it is safe and reliable.
