The cow, owned by a resident of Pesawahan Village, Porong District, Sidoarjo, was purchased for IDR 102 million, and its meat will be distributed to residents of Jabon District. Dr. Erwin Priatmoko, Head of Livestock Production and Veterinary Public Health at the Sidoarjo Regency Food and Agriculture Service, stated that the cow is in good health. The 4.5-year-old Limousin cow has passed a rigorous health examination. The veterinary team found no signs of infectious diseases such as Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) or Lumpy Skin Disease (LSD). Furthermore, the cow's care emphasizes high-quality feed without the use of chemical drugs to avoid harmful residues. So this jumbo cow is ready and safe to be used as a sacrificial animal this year. The selection of cows from local breeders is a form of government appreciation to encourage livestock farmers.
