I usually avoid this trail…then I raced it | Mt Vic Break In’Duro

I’ve always hesitated to race at Mt Vic. This year I finally signed up for Break In’Duro, part of the first ever Wellington MTB Festival (220 entries and completely sold out). Intermediate category… but we still had to race V Trail. A black diamond trail I usually avoid. After a few dusty days, the rain right before race day made the trail conditions perfect. It definitely pushed me outside my comfort zone, but I finished safely and I’m really proud of that.
