The 1 Question from My Wife Made Me Cry

Good Morning from SAMOA!! This story begins with friendship… the kind of friendship that shapes your entire life. I had the incredible opportunity to travel to Tonga and Samoa to compete as a professional soccer player alongside one of my best friends in the world, Morgan. This experience reminded me just how powerful lifelong friendships can be, the kind of friendships that help you grow, challenge you to become better, and support you through every season of life. Morgan, Alex, and I became friends when we were just kids, and looking back now, I truly believe those early friendships shaped the direction of my life in more ways than I could have ever imagined. There is something incredibly special about having people in your life who know you from the very beginning. These people who remind you who you are, where you came from, and who you want to become. When I received the unexpected invitation to play in the OFC tournament with a professional Tongan team, it felt like a dream I didn’t know was still possible. The chance to step back onto the field, compete at a high level, and share that experience with one of my closest friends was something I will forever be grateful for. From designing jerseys, to traveling across the Pacific, to stepping onto the pitch surrounded by teammates from around the world ,every moment reminded me how meaningful it is to be part of something bigger than yourself. Throughout this journey, I was reminded that sports have a unique way of uniting people across cultures, languages, and backgrounds. Soccer has given our family so many opportunities to meet incredible people and experience the beauty of the world together. Watching my family in the stands, seeing my kids supporting me, and sharing this moment with Morgan brought a deep sense of gratitude that is hard to put into words. This video shares the full journey: • how Morgan and I became friends in middle school • the surprising invitation to join a professional soccer team in Tonga • traveling through Fiji, Tonga, and Samoa • training and competing in the OFC tournament • experiencing the incredible culture, kindness, and perspective of the people we met • the emotional moments of stepping back onto the field after many years • the power of believing in each other when things feel difficult • the unforgettable moment when both Morgan and I scored goals together • the reminder that friendship, family, and shared experiences are what truly matter most I am deeply grateful to my teammates, coaches, family, and everyone who made this experience possible. To the people of Tonga and Samoa...Thank you for welcoming us with such generosity, kindness, and joy. Your spirit of community and gratitude left a lasting impression on my family and friends. Most of all, I am grateful for the friendships in my life that continue to shape me. We all need people who remind us who we are and help us become better versions of ourselves. And to all of you watching. Thank you for being part of this journey with our family. Your support allows us to continue exploring the world, sharing meaningful experiences, and celebrating the people who make life so special. We are endlessly grateful you are here.
