Kleeneze Rotork Cyclon – Prototype Dyson Vacuum Cleaner – Vintage – Like G-Force: https://dysonmedic.co.uk/kleeneze-rot... Today, we're looking at two of the rarest Dyson vacuum cleaners in the world – the Dyson G-Force from 1991 and the Dyson DC06 robot vacuum prototype from the year 2000. The G-Force was James Dyson's second machine, developed after the Cyclone Rotork, and sold exclusively in Japan at US$2,000 a time. It never came to the UK – and as far as we know, only two exist here today. One is ours. The other is in the entrance foyer of Dyson's HQ in Malmesbury, Wiltshire. The DC06 is equally rare. Dyson developed this robot vacuum in the late 1990s, taking it right to the point of launch before pulling the plug – deciding it simply wasn't good enough. It was years before Dyson returned to robotics with the 360 Eye. This example is an early prototype that was displayed at a trade show. If you know your Dysons, you'll spot design cues in both machines that carried forward into the DC01, DC02, DC04, DC05, DC07, DC14 and beyond. The engineering history here is fascinating. We also talk about how our own journey as Dyson specialists eventually led us to SEBO – handmade in Germany – and why we feel they carry the torch for what great vacuum cleaner engineering should look like.
