ALMOÇAMOS A 4.850 METROS NO MEIO DO DESERTO! Ruta 40, ABRA DEL ACAY | ATACAMA 06

We left Salta (1,200m) with the mission of tackling one of the most epic climbs on Ruta 40: the road leading to the iconic Abra del Acay, at 4,850 meters altitude. What began as a quest for breathtaking landscapes turned into a battle against the elements and a total immersion in the immensity of the Andes. 🏔️ Challenges along the way: The breathtaking altitude (of both the motorcycle and the rider) and, on the return, crosswinds so strong they seemed to want to throw us off the road. And, of course, the challenge of not stopping every 5 minutes to photograph so much beauty. ⛰️ Breathtaking scenery: The transition from the green valleys of Salta to the impressive aridity of the Puna. We climbed between imposing mountains, passed through stretches of dirt road that challenged our riding skills, and reached the top of the world at Abra del Acay, with a 360° view that made all the effort worthwhile. 🛣️ Route Details: Departure: Salta (Capital) Destination: Abra del Acay (Highest peak on Ruta 40) Maximum Altitude: 4,850 meters Route: Ruta Nacional 40 (Dream Stretch) If you enjoy motorcycle touring, road trips, and adventures in South America, this channel is for you! 🔧 Motorcycle used: VSTROM 800 DE 📅 Trip period: October and November 2025 🎒 Main equipment: Cameras: DJI OSMO ACTION 3 and 4 Drone: DJI Mini 2 SE Fairing protector: SCAM Side case: SCAM 36 Liters Brushed Aluminum Rear case: SCAM 59 Liters Brushed Aluminum Frame bag: Adventure 8 Liters Tank bag: Generic 5 Liters Seat: Original + Gel cushion + Seat cover Helmet: LS2 Model FF800 Carplay: EKIY MTC-17 👍 Subscribe to the channel to follow the next parts of this epic journey: 👉 Argentina 👉 Andes Mountains 👉 Atacama Desert 📸 Follow me also on Instagram: 👉 @ericobrmoto – I post live stories from the road, behind-the-scenes footage, and motorcycle travel tips there! 💬 Leave a comment: Have you ever faced the altitude challenge at Abra del Acay?
