She's a veterinarian, so she has a whole zoo at home: dogs, goats, a horse, and even a pony. We immediately went to the barn to milk the goats. These aren't ordinary goats—they're Nubian. We've seen the farm, now it's time to think about food. First, we make homemade cheese. Meanwhile, the hostess showed us the home incubator—it holds chicken and goose eggs. Then we went to visit grandma—she lives nearby. Today, for lunch, we'll have a hearty noodle soup called salma. We're cooking four kinds of meat at once! While the meat is cooking, we roll out the dough and cut the noodles. We'll be given a short tour of the house. We also get to see what the grandmothers in Mednogorsk do—it turns out they make hand-woven shawls and headscarves. Very beautiful! We get back to cooking: we've cut the noodles and the meat too. We set the table—tea, homemade baked goods, our cheese, and hot salma. We're sitting, enjoying ourselves, having heart-to-heart talks, and singing songs. It was a very warm and delicious day.
