In this new adventure, we travel to the department of La Libertad, district of Jicalapa, to explore one of El Salvador's most impressive protected natural areas. We'll venture along trails surrounded by forest, crossing an environment teeming with wildlife, until we reach a point where the path splits into two incredible destinations: the Taquillo Cliffs and the Taquillo Lookout. Our biggest challenge will be trying to enter a huge cave hidden among the cliffs. To do so, we'll have to wait for low tide, as access is only possible by wading through the water. Will we make it? During the trek, we'll discover natural pools hidden in the middle of the forest, observe birds of different species, and keep an eye out for the local fauna, where it's possible to find raccoons, monkeys, and other wild animals. The locals even tell stories about a mysterious feline that, they say, appears at night.
