N.B., who had scars on her face, visited a doctor and learned that the scars were second-degree burns. Days later, N.B., who still had scars on her forehead and cheeks, went to the courthouse and filed a criminal complaint. My doctor said it was a second-degree burn. He prescribed various creams and medications. The doctor doesn't know yet whether the scars will be permanent."
