Tom Moorhouse || 2025 Ranching Heritage Association Working Cowboy Award-East
Tom Moorhouse Benjamin, Texas | Moorhouse Ranch Tom Moorhouse, a fifth-generation rancher and cowboy, has spent his life dedicated to the land and livestock of West Texas. Growing up immersed in the cowboy lifestyle, he honed his horsemanship and cattle skills on historic ranches like the Tongue River and the 6666s, earning honors such as two All-Around Cowboy titles at the Texas Ranch Roundup and induction into the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame in 2005. While celebrated for his expertise in horse training, Moorhouse’s greater legacy lies in preserving and advancing the working cowboy tradition. Through the Moorhouse Ranch, he and his family manage cow/calf, farming, and stocker operations across West and Central Texas, carrying forward values of stewardship, horsemanship, and progressive ranching practices that ensure the cowboy way of life continues for generations to come.
