4-H English Horse Show at 2025 Lancaster County Super Fair

In the 4-H English Horse Show, horses are Hunter-type. English attire and tack are used.  Hunter/Saddleseat Horse Halter classes and English Showmanship classes are shown in-hand on the ground by the exhibitor. Halter classes judge the horses’ conformation and structure. Showmanship classes are judged on the exhibitors’ accuracy to perform a pattern with their horse.   English Bareback Equitation, Hunter Under Saddle, Hunt Seat Equitation and English Discipline Rail are riding classes which showcase the horses’ movement and ability, as well as the exhibitors’ horsemanship (riding skills). The Hunter Under Saddle is judged on how the horse performs. Hunt Seat (English) Equitation is judged on the riders’ position in the tack and accuracy of the course ridden.  The Lancaster County Super Fair is brought to you by Lancaster County Agricultural Society, a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization that promotes agriculture, youth and community.
