Welcome to the twenty-second episode of La Proclama, the radio program of the National Library of Chile, a space dedicated to exploring memory, creation, and cultural heritage in all its forms. In this episode, we go back to the origins of the National Library through the General Collection, one of its oldest and most important collections. We speak with Maricel Aguilera, head of this section, who invites us to discover the richness and diversity of its materials, originating from prominent private libraries and key historical processes, as well as to reflect on the challenges of preserving and providing access to this heritage in the 21st century.
