Throughout the Second World War, there were a number of evil SS guards who worked inside of the concentration camps. But after the war, a few were brought to trial for their crimes and were sentenced to death and then executed. Vinzenz Schöttl was a guard who was a virulent Nazi, and he first worked in Dachau before he worked inside of different concentration camps and the Lublin Ghetto. He was known for being a violent brute, but then became the commandant of Auschwitz III Monowitz. Vinzenz Schöttl was captured by the Americans at the end of the Second World War, and he was then sentenced to death at the Dachau Trials. He was sent to Landsberg Prison and was then executed on the gallows by an American executioner.
