bicycle restoration no 1 - NSU from 1955

This is my first video on YouTube. Many years ago I started to restore old bicycles. About one year ago I began the photographic documentation of my restorations on Instagram (take a look @bicycle.restoration). In the middle of April 2019 I bought a cam and started to film the restoration of a NSU touring bicycle. It is something completely different from just taking pictures to make a video. Often you only have one chance to film the scene, so the camera settings and the position have to be done precisely. For me this is very exciting and I will continue working on this kind of documentation. But next time I will make everything better ;) Another project is already in my mind, so stay tuned. The bike is a NSU touring bike. You will find much information about this company on the internet, so I will not tell you more about it. The frame number is 789975, so it is probably from 1955. If you have any further information just let me know. Sadly the previous owner already cleaned it and removed the lightning system and the rear rack. So the before and after effect is not that remarkably as is could be. But I like it anyway and it matches perfect to the NSU ladies’ bicycle I already restored. You can also see it in the video or on Instagram. You will see a full restoration. Disassembling, cleaning, repairing or replacing some parts, wheel building, making a mudflap from leather and the assembling. My cam is a Canon Legria HF R806. It works well for a beginner like me I think, but it has some problems with weak light. For the next video I will try something else.
