How to Tie a Knocker Rig for Bottom Fishing

The knocker rig is used for bottom fishing all over the world. Here on the west coast of Florida we utilize this rig for many species of fish. It’s used for grouper, snapper, drum and even early season tarpon fishing. The reason for this rig is to get a bait to the bottom of the water in strong current while allowing the bait to move freely behind the weight.
