Once the coronavirus-related closure is over, the German Tank Museum will present the special exhibition "Lifesaver? The German Steel Helmet in World War I" until December. The exhibition curator, Ms. Laura Haendel, presents a number of helmets from the museum's collection in detail in this accompanying series. In this first episode, Ms. Haendel provides an introduction to the exhibition and this YouTube series, focusing on the Pickelhaube itself from 05:41 onwards.
