Tennessee Section Hike, May Part 2 of 6 Appalachian Trail

On this second day of our 80-mile section hike along the Tennessee Appalachian Trail, we take off from Carver's Gap. Roan Mountain is the highest point in our section hike this month. While much of the trail is under trees, we have a few views. We enjoy the company of spring flowers, summer mushrooms, a hungry Eastern Towhee, and a chipmunk.
