PORTUGAL BY BIKE — Everyone Rides South. We Went North
In May 2025, we departed from Faro, hoping to bikepack all the way to Porto. Reality hit us in the form of headwinds — and after 6 intense days and 349 km, we made it to Lisbon… barely. Now we finaly understand why everyone rides south. We didn’t. Our route followed Ecovia and EuroVelo 1, hugging Portugal’s stunning coastline. 💬 Ever ridden this route? Would you ride it northbound? Drop a comment — I’d love to hear how your experience compares! And if you’re planning your first bikepacking trip in Portugal, ask me anything. 🎥 Filmed with: iPhone 15 Pro Max GoPro Hero 12 DJI Mini 3 Pro
