VIDEO DESCRIPTION This painting tutorial will take you through easy to follow, step-by-step instructions on how to paint this summer inspired coastal image of "BEACH BLUE HERON" with a stunning morning glow with the suggestion of a sun rising sky that is casting a glow on the front of the tall bird as it walks across the wet beach sand. You can imagine this ocean scene to be that of a secluded quiet private beach oasis along the sea’s edge. You'll learn simple painting techniques that will help you to create this realistic piece of art with a dreamy peaceful warm summer feel with gentle waves crashing into the sand and warm clouds drifting through the sky. With a graceful posture, the tall imposing feathered crane bird will give the piece life and guide the viewers eye through the painting with the movement of it’s body through the watery sand casting a small reflective image onto the ground. You’ll learn to paint a straight horizon line without a ruler, ocean waves with lots of movement, and fluffy clouds that have depth providing a picturesque view. With a dry brush technique you'll learn how to create dimension and shadows in and around the water with subtle blending of the surrounding colors and properly placed highlights and shadows. The vantage point will provide an interesting perspective on the image.
