The song "My Mama Told me So" was released in 1976 and it is super funky. It's a great song for getting your chops up and playing lead to. The song will force you to improvise a little outside of your comfort zone, but not too far you can't keep track. The song structure feels a lot like a jazz standard and the melody, while pretty straight forward has just enough complexity to make it really memorable. I just can't relate how much fun this song is to play! Try it out!
