Susan was cooking for her five children in the mountains. The smoke from the fire hung in the air, and the children were waiting for the food to be ready. The landlord had thrown them out a few days earlier, and now they had nowhere to stay. “I’m going to look for a house, maybe I’ll find one,” said Qavami, her ex-husband, and then he left. Susan turned to the audience and said in a sad voice, “To be honest, these days are very difficult for me. From morning to night, I only think about my children. I don’t know where we’re going to sleep tonight and what’s going to happen tomorrow. Sometimes I get so tired that I can’t go on anymore. I’m so sad.” She paused for a moment and looked at her children. “But when I look at my children, I feel hope again. They are all I have.
