Savoia-Acireale | Loyalty in Italy's Lower Leagues 🇮🇹

It sits on the Circumvesuviana line, between Naples and Pompei - a city scarred by unemployment, organized crime, and a brutal sense of realism. But it is also home to Savoia Calcio, one of the strangest clubs in Italy - owned by the Italian Royal Family, still carrying their Savoy coat of arms on the badge, now playing deep in Serie D. On this day, Savoia host Acireale from Sicily - and despite being rivals on the pitch, the ultras of both clubs share a 30-year-old brotherhood. No hatred. No violence. Just loyalty, memory, and a kind of football culture that is slowly disappearing. I made this film together with two creators I deeply admire: Martino, one of the sharpest storytellers on everything Fans and Ultras, and Imma, a local voice from Torre Annunziata who understands this city from the inside. This is not just a football match. It’s a portrait of a forgotten southern town, a fallen royal dynasty, the concept of Brotherhood in football and the strange beauty that lives in the lower leagues of Italian football.
