You should definitely try it ❤️ 📌 Pan: 20x20 cm For the dough: • butter - 120 g • sugar - 100-120 g • eggs - 2 pcs. • milk - 80 ml • flour - 200 g • baking powder - 2 tsp • a pinch of salt • a pinch of vanilla • zest of 1 lemon • strawberries - 250 g For the cream: • cream cheese - 120 g • condensed milk - 80-100 g • lemon juice - 1-2 tsp. For the strawberry jam (topping): • strawberries - 120 g • sugar - 1-2 tbsp Optional: • 1 tsp cornstarch - if you want a thicker topping 🍓 Directions: Whip the softened butter with the sugar, salt, vanilla, and lemon zest until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Mix the flour with the baking powder beforehand. Add some of the flour, then the milk and the remaining flour. Mix until smooth and creamy. Wash the strawberries, dry them well, and cut into large pieces. Firm berries are best for baking. Line a baking pan with parchment paper. I always wet the parchment with water – then it fits perfectly into the pan without any creases and without any cutting. Spread the batter over the top, smooth it out, and arrange the strawberries on top, pressing them lightly into the batter. Bake at 180°C for about 40 minutes until golden brown. Let the pie cool slightly. For the cream, mix the cream cheese, condensed milk, and lemon juice until smooth and creamy. For the topping, finely chop the strawberries, add sugar, and simmer for a few minutes until slightly thickened. For a thicker topping, add 1 teaspoon of starch. Cool the topping completely. Spread the cream over the pie, add the strawberry topping, and create beautiful streaks with a toothpick. You can replace the condensed milk in the cream with powdered sugar, honey, or thick sour cream, to taste. It also tastes delicious with thick natural yogurt or cream mixed with cream cheese. ❄️ The most important step! Be sure to cool the dessert completely, then chill it in the refrigerator for several hours. That's when it becomes especially tender, creamy, and incredibly delicious! 📌 What berries can you use: • strawberries • raspberries • blueberries • bilberries • cherries • currants • blackberries You can even mix berries together ❤️ 📌 Cooking tips: • the butter should be soft, but not melted • be sure to dry the berries • do not overmix the dough after adding flour • apply the cream only to a slightly cooled pie • be sure to cool the topping before applying • it's best to store the dessert in the refrigerator 💛 Victoria's tips: • if you don't have cream cheese, use sour cream • if you don't have starch, just simmer the berries a little longer • for a more intense flavor, you can add a little lemon zest to the cream.
