The Thule 598004 ProRide XT Upright Bike Rack for car roof racks is an updated and improved version of Thule's 598 Criterium. The ProRide XT Bike Rack combines ease of use with a sleek stylish design. The re-designed wheel holders and support arm clamp, easily adjust to help keep your bike in position while securing your bicycle to the carrier. The ergonomically designed dial and clamp make loading and unloading your bike easy, quick and secure. ProRide XT uses a torque limiter tightening dial to control the amount of force applied to the bike frame - eliminating the guess work. The frame clamp provides sturdy bike support and protection with its extended lower jaw and soft claw pads. The extended lower jaw helps stabilize and secure your bike to the rack. The soft claw pads gently cradle bike your frame. Unloading your bike is a breeze with the fast, spring loaded, push button clamp release. Thule's ProRide XT Bike Rack has a unique, tool-free interface for quickly switching the carrier from one side of your vehicle to the other. This feature allows you to change the support arm from the passenger side to the driver side of the vehicle within 30 seconds. The 598004 ProRide XT fits Thule AeroBlade Edge, AeroBlades, Square Bars and most t-slotted aftermarket racks - out of the box (T-Track hardware included). The Thule ProRide XT will accommodate round down tubes up to 3.4" diameter and oval frames up to 3.9" diameter. The Thule Fat Bike Tire Adapter Kit 5981 is available for transporting Fat Tire Bikes on the Thule ProRide (sold separately - see below). Two Thule keyed alike lock cores will lock your bike to the ProRide XT and your ProRide XT to the roof rack (sold separately - see below).
