Access to medicines to TB: Rifapentine

Despite the development of new drugs, and trials to support more effective treatment regimens for tuberculosis, cure cannot be achieved without access to medicines. Drug pricing, access policies and patent issues are often responsible for inequalities in getting access to lifesaving medicines to people that need most. Our previous webinar (   • Access to drugs for TB: Mapping issues, fi...  ) gave an overview of these issues. In this, the second webinar in this series we explored, in-depth, access to Rifapentine. We included input from 4 experts to describe the evidence behind rifapentine's use in TB, identify specific barriers to its use, and describe experience in specific locations.
