市川染五郎、コンプレックスは長い手足!?／杉咲花も登壇、映画『サイダーのように言葉が湧き上がる』完成披露報告会

Ichikawa Somegoro, Sugisaki Hana, and Director Ishiguro Kyohei / Film "Words Bubble Up Like Soda Pop" Completion Presentation Kabuki actor Ichikawa Somegoro and actress Sugisaki Hana attended the film "Words Bubble Up Like Soda Pop" completion presentation with director Ishiguro Kyohei on March 22nd. This original feature-length animated film depicts the summer in which Cherry, a young haiku poet who struggles to communicate with others, and Smile, a girl who hides her complexes behind a mask, meet and grow. The two meet in an ordinary suburban shopping mall, and grow closer through words and music. The protagonist, Cherry, is played by the rising star of the kabuki world, Ichikawa Somegoro VIII. The heroine, Smile, is played by Sugisaki, who is highly acclaimed for her undeniable expressiveness, one of the best of her young peers. Sugisaki and Somegoro, who is making his film debut, his first leading role, and his first foray into voice acting, spoke about their insecurities and other issues at the event. Ichikawa also turned 15 on March 27th, graduating from junior high school and entering high school this spring. A surprise celebration was also held to celebrate Ichikawa's departure.
