In this emotional documentary, I visited a Muslim elder home in Kattankudy, Sri Lanka, where I had the opportunity to speak directly with the elderly residents about their lives and experiences. Many of them shared heartbreaking stories about how their children and relatives no longer visit them. Some of the elders cried while speaking, expressing deep loneliness and emotional pain. Despite the challenges, the elder home is being supported by kind-hearted people from the Kattankudy community who provide food, care, and basic necessities. May Allah reward them for their generosity. However, what these parents truly need is not money—they need love, care, and the presence of their children and grandchildren during their final years of life. This video is a reminder to all of us: never forget your parents. Spend time with them, care for them, and never let them feel abandoned.
