KUALA KAPUAS – The echoes of the Takbir (Islamic call to prayer) shook the skies of Kuala Kapuas City on Friday evening (March 20, 2026), creating a feeling of emotion and joy among the community. The repeated chants of "Allahu Akbar" signaled victory after a full month of Ramadan, while also strengthening togetherness in welcoming Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijri. Kapuas Regent HM Wiyatno, accompanied by Deputy Regent Dodo, Kapuas Regional Secretary Usis I Sangkai, and Regional Council Speaker Ardiansah and Deputy Speaker I Yohanes, officially sent off the group of participants in the Echo Takbir Parade to celebrate Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijri/2026 AD on Friday evening (March 20, 2026). The event was held in front of the Panunjung Tarung Sports Hall in Kuala Kapuas, and was attended by various community elements. In his remarks, the Regent expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to gather after observing the month-long fast of Ramadan. He emphasized that the echoing Takbir (recitation of the Islamic call) symbolizes the victory of faith and an expression of gratitude to Allah SWT. "This Echo Takbir Parade is not merely a ceremony or mere festivities, but rather a part of the propagation of Islam, reflecting the unity and togetherness of the community," said Wiyatno. He also believed that the event demonstrated that the people of Kapuas Regency uphold the values ​​of religiosity, harmony, and brotherhood. The Regent of Kapuas advised all parade participants to maintain decorum throughout the event by chanting the Takbir solemnly and not excessively. He also reminded them of the importance of prioritizing safety by obeying traffic regulations and the directions of officers in the field. "Maintain cleanliness along the route as a reflection of our faith," he added. At the end of his remarks, the Regent, on behalf of himself, his family, and the Kapuas Regency Government, extended his greetings for a Happy Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijri, while encouraging the entire community to continue building a competitive, prosperous, beautiful, safe, and religious Kapuas. The parade route was from in front of the Sports Hall to Jalan Patih Rumbih, then to Jalan Meranti, then to Jalan Tjilik Riwut and then to Jalan Pemuda, before turning around at the Bundaran Besar. Participants then returned via Jalan Pemuda to Jalan Tjilik Riwut, then to Jalan Barito, Jalan Teratai, Jalan Ahmad Yani, Jalan Tambun Bungai, and finally to Jalan Maluku, the final point.
