Jewish life cycle tradition celebrates the spiritual and physical stages of growth. While informal education begins at birth, education takes on a more formal structure at age three when a child begins to truly learn and develop. As our Matriarch Rebecca, who lit Shabbat candles from the age of three, young girls are proud to join this tradition linking Jewish women through the generations, looking forward to the special moment she will share with her mother-a time of peace and personal connection to G-d. Her face glows with joy and pleasure as she ushers in the Shabbat/Holidays with her very own candle, inviting peace into the home and infusing it with spiritual and physical light.
