The space goddess of funk Saucy Lady is a force to be reckoned with. Since her 2011 debut album “Diversify”, this Boston-based vocalist, song writer, and DJ has been on a mission to empower all humankind with her space-age groove. Growing up surrounded by her father’s extensive jazz collection, she developed a deep love of music, studying classical piano from age five and classical voice from twelve. Her interests soon expanded beyond jazz and classical to include Hip Hop, R&B, Soul, Funk, Boogie, Disco, and Rare Groove, which she explored while studying music at Mount Holyoke College as a radio DJ, Urban Music Director, and music production student, later interning at Jive Records. After earning a Master’s in Library Science, she worked as a Music Librarian in Boston while performing in a cappella groups and renowned choruses at venues like Carnegie Hall and Symphony Hall.
