Queensland has recorded two locally acquired cases in the past 24 hours. One of the new cases is a young casual receptionist worker from the Prince Charles Hospital, who works near the COVID ward. She recently visited Magnetic Island in North Queensland and was not vaccinated. As a result, the Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk says from 6pm tonight til 6pm Friday, southeast Queensland, Townsville, Palm Island and Magnetic Island will go into lockdown.
