Our First Day in Sorrento… Worth the Hype?

Sorrento has always been on our bucket list… but did it live up to it? 🇮🇹 Here’s exactly what our first day was really like… Hey everyone, it’s Steve (Stick Man Steve) and welcome to Vlog 1 of our Sorrento Coast adventure with Jet2 Holidays! In this series, we’re taking you with us for 9 days exploring Sorrento, Sant’Agnello and beyond - including Pompeii, Capri, the Amalfi Coast, Mount Vesuvius and more. And honestly… day one already blew us away. ✈️ In this vlog: • Manchester Airport Terminal 2 & Apiary breakfast • Jet2 flight (with a VERY hard landing 😳) • Arrival into Naples & transfer along the stunning coastline • First impressions of Hotel Caravel, Sant’Agnello • Room 421 mini tour • Walk to Piazzetta Marinella (unreal views!) • Drinks at Sea Bar (great little find 🍷) • Dinner at “Il Fiocco” (4 course half board meal) • Evening entertainment & hotel atmosphere • Late drinks at Il Ruttino (with surprise shots!) 💡 Travel Tips: • Sit on the right-hand side of the transfer coach for incredible coastal views • Sant’Agnello is perfect if you want quiet + value, but still close to Sorrento • Hotel Caravel runs a free shuttle every 30 mins into Sorrento and back • Piazzetta Marinella is a must-visit viewpoint - absolutely stunning ❤️ Our Honest Thoughts: We spent a long time researching where to stay… and honestly, Hotel Caravel was perfect for us. The staff, the food, the location - everything just worked. And that first view over the coastline… it didn’t even feel real. We’ve got so much planned for this trip, and if day one is anything to go by… this is going to be something special.
