The Opencast Way | Part 4- Messingham to Scunthorpe | North Lincolnshire

I filmed this section in July 2025. This is the last section of the Opencast Way, a 32 mile circular route starting and ending in Scunthorpe. The route visits the villages of Winterton, Roxby, Broughton and Messingham. This section of the trail goes through some of the many parks of Scunthorpe along the Ridgway, a historic trail originally created for the steelworkers to use at leisure when the steel industry was first established in the town.
