That is why solos can feel trapped in one little area of the neck. In this guitar lesson, I’ll show you a simple way to move between the pentatonic boxes using triangle shapes on the G and B strings. You’ll see how box 1 connects to box 2, how the big and small triangles repeat across the neck, and how the right angle triangle brings everything back round again. We’ll use A minor pentatonic first, then move the same idea into E minor so you can see how the pattern transfers to other keys. This is a practical fretboard visualisation lesson for beginner and novice guitar players who know the pentatonic scale but still feel stuck when soloing.
