All The Basses 001: Teisco EB-110 "Tulip" // Serek Basses
All the Basses is a side project dedicated to showcasing some of the perhaps lesser known basses of years gone by. I do not claim to be a bass historian, I merely want to highlight some of the more interesting aspects of these instruments, and to showcase their tonality. On this installment, we are looking at the Teisco EB-100 "Tulip" bass. It is a short scale bass made in Japan in the late 60s. The bass was recorded direct through a Scarlett 2i2 and a mic'd Aguilar SL-112 paired with my trusty GK 800RB. The bass is strung with Dunlop Super Bright Nickel Roundwounds 40-100.
