How to make a miniature birdcage

Searching for a tutorial for myself I found only too complicated ones for me, or the result was not, what I was looking for : / So this is number one of a little serial of birdcages in different shapes and materials, that you could choose the form, how you want to make the door and how complex the decoration! The hight with this measurement is about 4,2cm, so it will fit for scale 1/6 (as a little cage), 1/12 and even 1/24 (big cage)! I hope, you'll have fun!
