I recently stayed at the InterContinental Hua Hin Resort and wanted to share some tips for fellow travelers, especially IHG Platinum Ambassadors. The Club Lounge Breakfast is a Must-Try: While I was surprisingly given access to the main restaurant breakfast as well, I highly recommend dining at the lounge. The a la carte menu is exceptional! The crab meat omelet and the Pad Kra Pao (basil chicken with rice) were both delicious. If you can access both, I suggest ordering the main dishes in the lounge first, then heading to the restaurant to browse the buffet for anything else you might want. Afternoon Tea & Happy Hour: The Afternoon Tea was just okay—the toast/sandwiches felt a bit dry, likely prepared too far in advance. However, the Happy Hour was excellent! The small bites and cocktails were great. Interestingly, on Friday evening, the hotel offered a complimentary cocktail and snack reception for all guests, which felt like a mini version of the Club Lounge. A very generous touch! Resort & Perks: The beach here is lovely with very fine sand. For Platinum Ambassadors, the food & beverage credit can be used at the cafe inside the connected Bluport Mall. The portions are large enough to be a proper lunch! I recommend using your Ambassador welcome drink vouchers there as well. Note that Platinum members get an additional 2 drink vouchers to be used at another designated venue. Overall, it's a fantastic resort with great elite recognition.
